Tuesday 7 September 2010County urged to do more to promote marina plansA REGENERATION body has called on Cumbria County Council to be more proactive in marketing a new industrial estate.
Barrow Regeneration, the body tasked with delivering the town’s £200m Waterfront project, will close before March next year.
The Waterfront masterplan – which includes a 650-home marina village, a 350-berth yacht marina, a £10m yacht entrance canal and a new business park on Barrow Island – was put on hold because of government funding cuts.
